Roles and Responsibility:

1. Assist the MR to ensure that the EOHS system is established, implemented and maintained in the organization

2. Conduct internal audits at the defined frequencies to verify the compliance of the established EOHS system and focus on continual improvement of the system

3. Ensure with assistance from the production, administration, plant engineering, procurement and stores that the environmental control measures are implemented based on the latest state pollution control board norms

4. Ensure with assistance from production, administration, plant engineering, procurement and stores that the safety measure are implemented in the organization as per the latest factories act requirement

5. Coordinate with production to ensure that the scrap is segregated at the source in the shop floor

6. Monitoring the legal requirement and updating evaluation of legal compliance


7. Coordinate with administration to ensure that the scrap is collected in the respective areas in the scrap yard

9. Ensure on site emergency plan is made available by the plant engineering and maintenance department

10. Arrange for mock drills in coordination with the administration/HR & maintenance departments at defined frequency and ensure appropriate actions are taken in case of deviation

11. Coordinate with the plant engineering department to ensure that the contractors working in the premises follow the safety rules of the organization

12. Collect the interested party feedback on the performance of EOHS system and implement improvements in the system

13. Ensure that the legal requirements of state pollution control board and factories act are always complied with

14. Assist HR department to arrange training related environmental and occupational health and safety system

15. Ensure that the factory premises are kept clean at any point of time

16. Coordinate with all the members of the organization to ensure that the activities are carried out as per the responsibilities and authorities defined

17. Update the changes affected in the pollution control board norms and factories norms and ensure compliance.

18. Identification of new legal requirements or changes in the legal requirements due to changes in the activities, products or services

19. evaluation of legal compliance

20. Update the aspects /impacts, hazards / risks , significant impact study, risk assessment whenever there is any new activity, products or services introduced
